5/14/03: Web-Design and Training Portal for the
Eye Care Industry launched.
Prima Systems, Inc. announces the launch of FYEyes.net,
a new web-based portal geared towards professionals
in the eye care industry. The portal can be access
directly or found within Prima Systems' own website.
Prima Systems, Inc. believes in offering not only
quality but also value to their clients. FYEyes.net
was created as a one stop shop for eye care professionals
to manage all aspects of their business.
Mark Quinsaat, Lead Developer for Prima Systems,
states, " Initially, we want to provide cost-effective
Flash enabled web-site design and hosting for
our clients who didn't want to spend the time
and money to create expensive websites using non-medical
related technology companies." He says, "Eventually,
the goal of the website is to serve as an on-line
resource with links that will give our customers
access to valuable information related to other
eye care products, services and news.
3/25/03: Medical Document Scanning Software joins
product line.
Prima Systems, Inc. has added IVUE, a document
scanning software to its suite of office management
products for eye care professionals. IVUE helps
the to minimize the need for paper charts and
filing. Following on the heels of OPTIX, IVUE
rounds out the technology needed to create a "paperless"
medical office.
" With HIPAA regulations being reinforced
daily in all medical practices, we felt that it
was important to assist our clients in creating
a secure environment. With IVUE, you won't have
to worry about losing patient charts or misinterpretation
of data," says Xavier Nguyen, Director of
Operations.
2/20/03: EMR for Optometrists Unveils
at this year's SECO International.
Attendees at the SECO International convention
held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta,
Georgia on Feb 20-22 of this year were the first
to receive a first hand look at Prima System's
new EMR module for optometrists called OPTIX.
Each year, thousands of optometrists, allied professionals,
and industry leaders gather to attend the continuing
education program and Exhibit Hall. Prima Systems
staff were on site to answer questions and demonstrate
the functions of OPTIX.
" With the continuing need for physicians
to create better processes within their offices,
we felt that our OPTIX EMR module was an important
add-on to their existing office software, "
said Xavier Nguyen, Director of Operations for
Prima Systems, Inc. " Not only would OPTIX
help them better manage both the patient care
side and business management side of their practice,
but it also would allow them to do so rather efficiently
and conveniently," he said.
9/05/02: Prima Systems Offers Discounts to TLC's
Customers.
TLC Vision Corporation, North America’s premier
eye surgery company, has selected Prima Systems,
Inc. to be added to their preferred vendor listing.
The agreement between the two companies will now
allow TLC Practice Consultants to offer a rather
significant discount for Prima Systems' line of
practice management software products and related
services to their network of ophthalmologists
and optometrists.
This partnership has given Prima Systems the opportunity
to provide a greater network of eye care professionals
with the best prices possible.
6/01/02: INTACS Training Course now available
On-Line.
Addition Technology, maker of INTACS prescription
inserts, has chosen Prima Systems, Inc. to host
the on-line version of the didactic portion for
the INTACS inserts certification. Originally an
8 hour course which included both didactic and
wet lab session, the new on-line alternative will
only require surgeons to participate in a 4 hour
wet lab training, review and discussion of the
INTACS inserts surgical procedure.
David J. Schanzlin, M.D., San Diego, Calif. conducts
the multimedia online course which includes a
comprehensive 100-question test and lasts about
three hours.
